INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky’s Marques Warrick averaged 21 points over a two-game stretch including an efficient 30-point performance and Youngstown State’s Dwayne Cohill finished the week averaging 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds to lead the Penguins to a pair of victories to earn Nike® #HLMBB Co-Players of the Week. NKU’s Sam Vinson collects his third Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week honor of the season after posting a pair of 17-point games and shooting nearly 70 percent from the floor as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly awards on Monday.

#HLMBB Co-Player of the Week
Marques Warrick | Northern Kentucky | Sophomore | Guard | Lexington, Ky.

Warrick led NKU to a 2-0 week averaging 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. He made 54 percent (14-of-26) of his shots for the week, including 40 percent (6-of-15) from 3-point range. In Wednesday’s game versus Canisius, Warrick exploded for a career-high 30 points thanks to a 71 percent shooting (10-of-14) from the floor and 67 percent (4-of-6) from long range. It marked the fifth 30-point game by a Horizon League player this season. He then contributed 12 points, five assists and career-high five steals in Sunday’s win over Alice Lloyd. For the week, Warrick led the Horizon League in scoring and finished top-10 in field-goal percentage, 3-point field-goal percentage and steals.

#HLMBB Co-Player of the Week
Dwayne Cohill | Youngstown State | Junior | Guard | Cleveland, Ohio

Cohill averaged 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds as the Penguins picked up a pair of impressive home wins during the week. In an 84-77 win over Central Michigan, he scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting in the contest and it marked YSU's first win over a MAC program since November 2016. In a big 71-43 victory over Canisius, Cohill had his first career double-double scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in only 19 minutes. He was 7-of-11 from the field against the Golden Griffins. It was YSU's first win over Canisius in school history after dropping the first six contests. It was the fewest points scored by an opponent against Youngstown State since Fredonia State had 35 on Dec. 6, 2011.

#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Sam Vinson | Northern Kentucky | Freshman | Guard | Fort Thomas, Ky.

Vinson scored 17 points in both of NKU’s games this week, helping the Norse to a 2-0 record. Against Canisius, he made 7-of-10 field-goal attempts, including three of his five shots from 3-point territory. He then made 6-of-9 shots against Alice Lloyd, converting 4-of-7 from three. In addition to his 17 points per game average, Vinson contributed 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game this week. For the week, the freshman ranked top-10 in scoring, field-goal percentage, 3-point field-goal percentage and steals.
