Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (December 13)
INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky’s Lindsey Duvall and Oakland’s Kahlaijah Dean earned Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week honors while Green Bay’s Maddy Schreiber picked up her first Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week award this week. Duvall posted 29 points and 14 rebounds for the Norse in a road win at Saint Louis. Dean scored 34 points while shooting 68.8 percent, leading the Golden Grizzlies to a road victory at Central Michigan. Schreiber scored eight points and pulled down nine rebounds in a win at Wisconsin on Sunday.

Lindsey Duvall posted another fantastic week for the Norse, helping Northern Kentucky to a 2-0 week with wins over Kentucky State and Saint Louis. In Saturday’s game against Atlantic-10 opponent Saint Louis, Duvall showed off her incredible skills on the court, totaling 29 points in the 80-69 road victory. In 38 minutes, Duvall shot 9-for-20 from the floor, and was 3-for-7 from beyond the arc. She went a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe as well. Duvall notched a double-double in this game with 14 total rebounds. She also added two assists and led NKU in fouls drawn with five. Duvall finished the week a perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line, and shot 43 percent overall from the field. Her double-digit scoring efforts in both games also saw her streak of scoring in double-figures in a Norse uniform up to 29 total games.

Kahlaijah Dean tied her career-high with 34 points on the road against Central Michigan. Dean shot 11-16 from the floor, 4-7 from three and a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line for the third 30-point performance in her career. Dean added seven rebounds as well. Dean started off hot, hitting 10-12 shots in the first half for 25 points – outscoring Central Michigan on her own as Oakland led 42-20 at halftime. Her first-half explosion gave Oakland a sizable lead, which they held onto for a 79-58 win over the Chippewas.

Maddy Schreiber was everywhere for the Phoenix in its win over in-state rival Wisconsin on Sunday, earning her first Freshman of the Week award. She scored eight points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. She also dished out three assists in the contest.
