INDIANAPOLIS – Horizon League women’s basketball returns to League play this week after wrapping up non-conference action last week highlighted by IUPUI knocking off a top-25 opponent on the road.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES

• In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, IUPUI ranked No. 10 while Cleveland State and Youngstown State continued to receive votes.
• IUPUI defeated No. 15 Iowa in comeback fashion, 74-73. The Jags came back from an 18-point deficit and took the lead with two free throws from Rachel McLimore with three seconds left in the fourth quarter. The Jags’ win over No. 15 Iowa marks the first time the women’s IUPUI basketball team has beaten a nationally ranked team in school history and marks the first win over a BIG Ten school since the Jags beat Purdue, 67-62, on Dec. 21, 2016. McLimore and Macee Williams each finished with 19 points.
• Cleveland State leads the League in scoring offense (76.0 points) and second in scoring defense (56.8 points).
• Northern Kentucky ended the non-conference season with a 20-point victory led by a pair of 20-point performances as Ivy Turner scored 24 points on four 3-pointers and Lindsey Duvall posted a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
• Green Bay will return to Horizon League play having won three out of its last four games after earning a 71-67 win over Central Michigan. Four Phoenix players finished in double figures led by Hailey Oskey with 19 points and Cassie Schiltz finished with 18.
• CSU’s Destiny Leo is leading the Horizon League and ranks fifth nationally with 23.0 points per game as she is hitting a League-best 3.3 3-pointers per game.
• NKU’s Lindsey Duvall leads the League with six 20-point performances and five double-doubles this season.
• IUPUI ranks first nationally in three-point field goal percentage defense opponents are shooting just 16.7 percent from beyond the arc against the Jags this season. Offensively, the Jags rank sixth in the country with 10.3 three-point field goals per game and eighth in 3-point field goal percentage at 38.3 percent.
• Milwaukee is the second-best free-throw shooting team in the at 82.0 percent, followed by Purdue Fort Wayne ranking 14th at 78.2 percent.
