INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI’s Macee Williams is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week as the Jaguars earned a home sweep over Youngstown State this weekend and the senior averaged 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists. This is the 11th career player of the week award for Williams as she passes Milwaukee’s Traci Edwards for most all-time #HLWBB weekly awards. Wright State’s Emani Jefferson earned Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season as she averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in two victories at Northern Kentucky.

Macee Williams was stellar in IUPUI’s two wins over Youngstown State, averaging 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in the two games against the Penguins. Williams also shot over 60 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line. In the first game of the weekend, Williams scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, shooting 65 percent from the field and handing out five assists. To complete the sweep over the Penguins, Williams scored 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out another five assists.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK | EMANI JEFFERSON | WRIGHT STATE | FRESHMAN | GUARD | NORTH PORT, FLA.
Emani Jefferson led the Raiders to a weekend sweep at Northern Kentucky, as the freshman averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals. Jefferson opened the weekend with a career-high 18 points, going 7-for-11 from the field, 2-for-5 from three, and a perfect 2-for-2 from the line. She also pulled down four rebounds and tallied two steals. Saturday saw Jefferson record a team-leading 17 points, pull down four rebounds, tally two blocks and capture three steals. The North Port, Fla. native finished Saturday’s contest a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, 2-for-2 from beyond arc and go 1-for-2 from the line.
