INDIANAPOLIS – The final weekend of #HLWBB play began on Friday with Cleveland State, Green Bay and Milwaukee collecting road wins while Oakland and Purdue Fort Wayne picked up home victories.

Purdue Fort Wayne 71, RMU 67
  • Purdue Fort Wayne won its first #HLWBB contest on Friday, topping RMU, 71-67, at the Gates Sports Center.
  • The Mastodons scored 23 points off turnovers in the contest.
  • Shayla Sellers led PFW with 21 points and seven rebounds in the victory while Riley Ott added 18 points and Sierra Bell scored 14 points.
  • Mackenzie Amalia scored 22 points off the bench to lead the Colonials and Holly Forbes and Nina Augustin also scored in double figures for RMU.
Cleveland State 76, Youngstown State 73
  • Cleveland State earned a 76-73 road win at Youngstown State on Friday to extend its winning streak to seven games.
  • The Vikings trailed by as many as 18 points in the third quarter but outscored the Penguins 27-11 in the final ten minutes to pick up the victory.
  • Four CSU players scored in double figures as Barbara Zieniewska led the way with 19 points, Mariah White scored 16 points, Taylah Levy added 14 points (including the go-ahead three-pointer with 15 seconds to play) and Aminata Ly posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Nnenka Obiazor scored 29 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Penguins.
Green Bay 66, Wright State 62
  • Green Bay picked up a road win at Wright State on Friday, topping the Raiders, 66-62, at the Nutter Center.
  • The Phoenix built a 12-point halftime lead and were able to hold off WSU down the stretch to earn a fifth straight victory.
  • Caitlyn Hibner paced the GB offense with 19 points while Lyndsey Robson added 17 points and Hailey Oskey scored 11 points.
  • Angel Baker led the Raiders with 29 points and Emani Jefferson added 12 points.
Milwaukee 58, UIC 35
  • Milwaukee is now 14-5 in League play after a 58-35 win at UIC on Friday afternoon.
  • The Panthers doubled up the Flames in points in the paint, 28-14.
  • Brandi Bisping posted a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds and Megan Walstad added 10 points for MKE.
  • Lindsey Rogers led the Flames with 10 points.
Oakland 84, Northern Kentucky 81
  • Oakland earned #HLWBB victory number 12 on Friday evening, holding off Northern Kentucky, 84-81.
  • The Golden Grizzlies held the Norse to just nine points in the second quarter, building a ten-point halftime lead. OAK extended its lead to 14 points in the third quarter and held on in the fourth despite 33 points in the final ten minutes from the Norse.
  • Kahlaijah Dean led the Golden Grizzlies with 21 points, Autumn Kissman added 18 points and Lamariyee Williams and Alona Blackwell also scored in double figures.
  • Lindsey Duvall led five Norse in double figures, scoring 27 points, while Grayson Rose added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
