INDIANAPOLIS – The 2021 #HLWBB Championship continued on Tuesday with Wright State, Milwaukee, IUPUI and Cleveland State earning quarterfinal victories to continue their journeys to #REACHtheHORIZON in Indianapolis.

No. 1 seed Wright State 74, No. 8 seed Northern Kentucky 56
- No. 1 seed Wright State punched its ticket to the semifinals with a 74-56 win over No. 8 seed Northern Kentucky at the Nutter Center on Tuesday afternoon.
- The Raiders shot 57 percent from the field in the contest while holding the Norse to just 28 percent.
- After a 15-11 first quarter score in favor of WSU, the Raiders gave up just nine NKU points in the second quarter to take a 12-point halftime lead.
- Wright State was dominant on the inside, totaling 42 points in the paint while the Norse posted only 14 points in the lane.
- All-League First Team selection Angel Baker had a strong game for the Raiders with 23 points while freshman Emani Jefferson added 12 points for WSU.
- Lindsey Duvall scored 19 points to lead the Norse while Ivy Turner scored 15 and Kailey Coffey added 11 points.
- The Raiders advance to their seventh semifinal in eight seasons and will face No. 6 seed Cleveland State at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, March 8 in the first semifinal on ESPN+.
- NKU ends its season with an overall record of 8-11.
No. 5 seed IUPUI 86, No. 4 seed Oakland 64
- No. 5 seed IUPUI will return to the #HLWBB semifinals after earning an 86-64 road win at No. 4 seed Oakland on Tuesday.
- While the two teams played nearly even in the middle of the game, IUPUI secured the win with key advantages in the first (27-15) and fourth (24-13) quarters
- The number one offense in the League was on display as the Jaguars scored a season-high 86 points and shot 49 percent overall and 55 percent from beyond the arc (6-11).
- IUPUI had a strong game on the glass as well, totaling 50 rebounds while the Golden Grizzlies only grabbed 30.
- #HLWBB Player of the Year Macee Williams scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Jags while Destiny Perkins posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Katelyn O’Reilly and Rachel McLimore also scored in double figures for IUPUI.
- Kahlaijah Dean (13 points) and Autumn Kissman (10 points) led the Golden Grizzlies.
- The Jaguars advance to their fourth straight #HLWBB semifinal and will take on No. 2 seed Milwaukee on Monday, March 8 at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
- Oakland wraps up the 2020-21 season at 12-12.
No. 2 seed Milwaukee 77, No. 7 seed Youngstown State 68
- No. 2 seed Milwaukee secured a spot in the semifinals with a 77-68 home victory over No. 7 seed Youngstown State on Tuesday evening.
- The Penguins led by two at the half but the Panthers outscored YSU 23-19 in the third quarter and 20-13 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
- MKE totaled 22 bench points in the victory while YSU starters scored all but two of the Penguins’ points.
- The Panthers outrebounded YSU 37-28 in the contest.
- McKaela Schmelzer led MKE with 24 points while Bre Cera scored 13 points and Brandi Bisping added 10 points.
- Chelsea Olson scored 22 points to lead the Penguins while Mary Dunn added 20 points and Nneka Obiazor scored 13 points.
- The Panthers move to the semifinals for the first time since 2017 and will take on No. 5 seed IUPUI at 2 p.m. ET on Monday, March 8 on ESPN+.
- Youngstown State finishes the season at 10-8.
No. 6 seed Cleveland State 69, No. 3 seed Green Bay 63
- No. 6 seed Cleveland State advanced to the #HLWBB semifinals for the second straight season with a 69-63 road win at No. 3 seed Green Bay on Tuesday night.
- The second and third quarters were key for CSU as the Vikings posted advantages of 20-11 and 19-9 in those frames.
- The Phoenix scored 32 points in the final ten minutes but fell short in the comeback attempt.
- CSU totaled 23 fast break points in the win.
- Mariah White led the Vikings with 22 points while Destiny Leo, Barbara Zieniewska and Isabelle Gradwell also scored in double figures.
- Caitlyn Hibner scored 15 points to pace the Phoenix and Cassie Schiltz and Hailey Oskey added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
- Cleveland State will take on top-seeded Wright State at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, March 8 on ESPN+ in the first semifinal.
- Green Bay falls to 15-7 with the loss.
