INDIANAPOLIS – Saturday's New Year's Day action marked the end of Week 2 of #HLMBB play with Oakland sitting a perfect 4-0 in League play, while Wright State earned its second-straight HL win and Milwaukee claimed its first road League win of the season.

Wright State 72, Green Bay 69
- Wright State picked up its fourth consecutive win and ends the weekend 3-1 in League play.
- Tanner Holden posted his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 boards for WSU and eclipsed 1,000 career points. Grant Basile chipped in 18 on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor and Trey Calvin finished with 13.
- Green Bay’s Lucas Stieber shot 8-for-10 from the field with three 3-pointers to tie the game-high with 22, while Emmanuel Ansong fell just short of a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.
- The Phoenix led by six with 2:49 to play after a pair of free throws before the Raiders closed the game on a 10-1 run as Holden scored five points down the stretch and Calvin hit a triple with 20 seconds to play to seal the win.
Milwaukee 61, Northern Kentucky 55
- Milwaukee salvaged a split of the #HLMBB weekend with its first road League win of the season and remains .500 in League play.
- DeAndre Gholston and Vin Baker Jr. paced the Panthers with 14 points each as Gholston hit four 3-pointers and Baker went 5-for-7 from the floor.
- NKU’s Sam Vinson registered a game-high 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from distance and Chris Brandon fell just shy of a double-double with 16 rebounds and eight points.
- It was a tale of two halves as the Norse took a 37-23 lead at halftime thanks to seven triples, before the Panthers turned around and won the second half 38-18. MKE shot 52.0 percent over the final 20 minutes of play while holding NKU to just 18.8 percent shooting from the floor.
Oakland 87, Youngstown State 72
- The Golden Grizzlies are the first team to reach four HL wins as they remain perfect over the first four games of League schedule.
- Jamal Cain led Oakland with his League-best seventh double-double of the season finishing with 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-5 from long range, and 11 rebounds. Blake Lampman hit six 3-pointers for 18 points and Jalen Moore recording his third-straight double-double with 15 points and 13 assists.
- Nine different YSU players scored led by Michael Akuchie with 21 points and eight boards, while Tevin Olison added 14 and Dwayne Cohill chipped in 12.
- Oakland finished the game shooting 53.4 percent (31-58) from the floor and 46.4 percent (13-28) from 3-point range.
