INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI picked up two wins in the fourth week of #HLWBB play while Oakland and Youngstown State each posted 1-0 records.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES

• In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, IUPUI remained No. 13 while Youngstown State entered the poll at No. 20 and Cleveland State and Northern Kentucky continued to receive votes.

• Chelsea Olson just missed a double-double with 15 points and 9 assists in YSU’s 59-53 win over Robert Morris on Saturday. Olson was 6-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range, and added a free throw. She also had four rebounds, a game-high two blocks and a steal, and she had just one turnover in 39:15. The big game allowed Olson to move into the Horizon League lead in assists with an average of 4.4 per game.

• Cleveland State’s Destiny Leo leads all #HLWBB players with 22.1 points per game this season.     

• Alona Blackwell was one of six active Golden Grizzlies in their lone game last week against Purdue Fort Wayne. The junior was the leader during the 16-point comeback and finished as the leading scorer with 17 points. She was second in rebounds, with five. Five of those 17 points came in the last two minutes, when Blackwell hit a corner three to take a one-point lead with a minute and a half left. On the next possession, she came back and hit a floater to seal the 3-point win. Her eight fourth-quarter points helped improve Oakland's conference record to 4-2.

• IUPUI leads the League in scoring offense (67.5 points) and scoring defense (54.3 points) in #HLWBB play this season.

• In two games for the Panthers this week, Megan Walstad averaged 13.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 steals. In Thursday’s win over UIC, Walstad totaled seven points and six rebounds. She followed that with her fourth double-double of the season, totaling 19 points and 13 rebounds at IUPUI on Saturday.

• Northern Kentucky paces the League with 5.0 blocks per #HLWBB contest as Grayson Rose tops the individual leaderboard with 3.8 blocks per League contest.

• Redshirt-freshman Cassie Schiltz led the way for the Phoenix with 13 points and five rebounds in a 51-49 loss at IUPUI, followed by 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists in a 75-38 win at UIC. In her last three games, Schiltz has averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.

• Nina Augustin leads RMU with 3.3 assists and a 1.8 assist-turnover ratio in League contests.

• Audra Emmerson led Purdue Fort Wayne to a Horizon League split this week, coming up big in the Mastodons' 62-57 win over Detroit Mercy. Coming off the bench in both games this week, Emmerson scored 24 points, including a career-high 17 against the Titans. The Fishers, Indiana native was 5-of-10 from the 3-point line against the Titans. She chipped in seven in the 'Dons' three-point loss to Oakland. For the week, she averaged 12.0 points per game, 75 percent from the floor and 66 percent from 3-point range in 43 minutes of action.

• UIC’s Jaida McCloud ranks third among #HLWBB players with 19.0 points per League game and eighth with 6.3 rebounds per game in League play.

• Destyne Jackson (13.6 points) and Jada Roberson (12.9 points) pace Wright State offensively this season.

• Detroit Mercy’s Sydney Searcy and WSU’s Roberson lead the League with 2.8 steals per game.
