INDIANAPOLIS – The fifth week of #HLWBB play came to a close on Sunday with IUPUI earning an overtime win at Youngstown State, RMU taking down UIC at home and Cleveland State picking up a road victory at Milwaukee.

RMU 50, UIC 44
  • RMU earned its fifth League win on Sunday, topping visiting UIC, 50-44, at the UPMC Events Center.
  • The third quarter was key for the Colonials as they outscored the Flames 15-7 in the period and scored six points off UIC turnovers.
  • Eight Colonials scored in the victory with Nina Augustin leading the way with nine points. Sol Castro pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.
  • Jaida McCloud posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for UIC in the loss.
IUPUI 76, Youngstown State 68 (OT)
  • IUPUI improved to 7-3 in #HLWBB play and handed Youngstown State its first League loss with a 76-68 overtime victory at Beeghly Center on Sunday.
  • The Penguins led by nine points with 1:19 remaining but the Jaguars battled back and tied the contest with a three-pointer from Anna Mortag with just six seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
  • All five IUPUI starters scored in double-figures with Macee Williams scoring 16 points and collecting 10 rebounds for a double-double while Rachel McLimore and Rachel Kent scored 14 points each.
  • Lilly Ritz posted another double-double for the Penguins with 23 points and 13 rebounds while Malia Magestro added 19 points and Paige Shy scored 12 points.
Cleveland State 66, Milwaukee 57
  • Playing its first game since January 1, Cleveland State moved to 5-2 in the standings with a 66-57 road triumph at Milwaukee on Sunday.
  • Trailing 20-10 after the first ten minutes, the Vikings outscored the Panthers 43-26 in the next two quarters, shooting almost 54 percent from the floor in the third while holding MKE to 25 percent from the field in the frame.
  • Four Vikings scored in double figures with Gabriella Smith leading the way with 15 points.
  • Megan Walstad led the Panthers with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Miquela Santoro added 14 points.
