INDIANAPOLIS – Sunday concluded Week 5 of #HLMBB play with Cleveland State staying on top of the HL standings at 9-1, while Purdue Fort Wayne ended its five-game homestand with a win to stay in the top-4 of the League standings.

  • With today’s win, Purdue Fort Wayne has now won five out of its last six Horizon League contests and is now 6-4 in League play.
  • Jalon Pipkins led four Mastodons in double figures with 19 points on 7-for-7 shooting from the free throw line. Damian Chong Qui finished with 18 points and Jarred Godfrey added 13 points, to go along with six assists and three steals.
  • Youngstown State’s Will Dunn scored a game-high 20 points off the bench shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor with three triples, while Tevin Olison went 5-for-6 from the 3-point line for 17 points.
  • The Mastodons led wire-to-wire thanks to outscoring the Penguins 20-7 in fast break points and 29-14 in points off turnovers.
Cleveland State 75, RMU 68
  • Cleveland State stays on top of the Horizon League standings at 9-1 with its third consecutive win and seventh in its last eight HL games.
  • Two CSU players finished with over 20 points as D’Moi Hodge scored a game-high 22 points and Torrey Patton recorded 21 points, five rebounds and five assists. Tre Gomillion added 19 points.
  • Brandon Stone paced RMU with 14 points off the bench on 5-of-7 shooting, while Michael Green III and Enoch Cheeks each tallied 13 points.
  • The Vikings trailed by seven points in the second half before going on a 16-8 run capped off by a Patton layup with 7:29 left in the game and held the lead the rest of the game.
