INDIANAPOLIS – Friday’s #HLMBB action was highlighted by a #HLMBBonESPN matchup between two of the HL’s top teams facing off on ESPNU with Cleveland State coming out on top, while Northern Kentucky picked up its fourth consecutive win in Horizon League play.

- The Norse won its fourth game in a row to improve to 6-4 in Horizon League play.
- Three NKU players finished in double figures led by Sam Vinson with 17 points on three triples. Trevon Faulkner recorded 12 points and Marques Warrick added 10.
- Bobby Planutis paced the Mastodons with 18 points on 4-of-8 shooting from distance and Jalon Pipkins scored 12 points and added five steals.
- Northern Kentucky held a 38-29 rebounding advantage with 11 offensive rebounds and outscored Purdue Fort Wayne in second-chance points, 10-0.
Cleveland State 71, Wright State 67
- In front of a national television audience on ESPNU, Cleveland State became the first team to reach double-digit wins during Horizon League play.
- Torrey Patton led all scorers with 25 points for CSU with 11-made field goals, five rebounds and four steals. D’Moi Hodge added 13 points and Tre Gomillion chipped in 12.
- Two WSU players posted 20-point performances with Tanner Holden scoring a team-best 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the free throw line and also grabbed eight rebounds, while Trey Calvin recorded 21 points.
- The Vikings forced 26 turnovers with 16 steals, the most swipes in a HL game this season, and outscored the Raiders 31-17 in points off turnovers. CSU also held a 50-34 advantage in points in the paint.
