INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky’s Lindsey Duvall earned Nike
® #HLWBB Player of the Week honors while Oakland’s Kennedie Montue picked up her first Nike
® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week award this week. Duvall scored 26 points to lead the Norse to a road win at preseason favorite IUPUI to earn her second Player of the Week award of the season. Montue scored nine points as the Golden Grizzlies collected a road victory at Milwaukee.

Lindsey Duvall helped fuel the Norse to a 54-53 road win over Horizon League preseason favorite IUPUI this week. Duvall finished the game with 26 points, shooting 9-for-19 overall and connected on 7-of-12 three-pointers (58 percent). Her seven made three’s was a career-high, and Duvall was able to stay hot from beyond the arc against a Jaguars team ranked No. 1 overall in the country in three-point field goal defense. In the fourth quarter alone, Lindsey shot an impressive 4-for-6 (67 percent) from three-point range, and went on a scoring run of her own in the fourth period of 9-4 against IUPUI. Duvall then hit back-to-back three’s in the last 2:47 of regulation to see the Norse point total up to 54 to help secure the win. She finished the day with five rebounds, two steals and went 1-for-1 from the free throw line as well.

In her first extended action of the season, Kennedie Montue scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds in a 13-point win. The Golden Grizzlies were down multiple starters and multiple rotation players, forcing Montue to play a career-high 18 minutes. Montue hit 2-4 threes and made her presence felt on the glass to contribute to a road win in the Klotsche Center.
