Nike #HLMBB Players of the Week (December 12)
INDIANAPOLIS – Detroit Mercy’s Antoine Davis led the Horizon League in scoring with 29.5 points per game and became just the 11th player in NCAA history with 3,000 career points to earn Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week, while IUPUI’s Vincent Brady II was named the Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week after a 17-points, six-rebound performance on the road as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly honors on Monday

Davis tallied 29.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals in the Titans' two non-conference games, a win on the road at Tulsa and an overtime thriller setback at Charlotte. The Horizon League’s all-time leading scorer started the week with 23 points hitting five triples in the win at Tulsa and came back with a season-high 36 points at Charlotte, where he tied his and the school record with 10-made 3-pointers. He also became just the 11th player in NCAA history with 3,000 career points as he currently sits at 3,001. He is also became one of only two players in NCAA history with 3,000 points and 500 assists (St. Peter's Keydren Clark, 2002-06 - 3,058 points, 501 assists). For the week, Davis led the HL in scoring and shot 42.6 percent (20-of-47) from the field and 48.4 percent from 3-point range (15-of-31).
#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Vincent Brady II | IUPUI | Freshman | Guard | Indianapolis, Ind.
Brady becomes the first #HLMBB player this season to win multiple Freshman of the Week honors after totaling 17 points and a career-high six rebounds, four assists and three steals in IUPUI’s lone game of the week at Green Bay. The Indianapolis native connected on 7-of-15 shots, including three 3-pointers, in finishing one point shy of matching his career-high in the scoring column. He upped his season output to 8.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game, while shooting 43.1 percent from the floor.
