INDIANAPOLIS (December 12, 2022) – Cleveland State’s Brittni Moore earned Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week while Detroit Mercy’s Ana Cabañas Llorens picked up Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors. Moore led the Vikings to a 2-0 week on the road with victories at Central Michigan and Akron, averaging 21.0 points per game and shooting 51.5 percent from the floor. Cabañas Llorens averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Titans this week.

Moore averaged 21.0 points per game on a .515 field goal clip on the week. She opened the week with a career-high 26-point performance on 10-for-15 from the field against Central Michigan and followed that up with a 16-point effort against Akron. The senior also combined for 10 rebounds, six steals, three assists, and two blocked shots on the week as she helped the Vikings to back-to-back road wins against Central Michigan and Akron and Cleveland State extended its win streak to nine straight games.

Cabañas Llorens averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game with four assists and four steals, helping Detroit Mercy to a 1-1 non-conference mark for the week. In her first career start, Cabañas Llorens chipped in with nine points and four rebounds helping lead the Titans to a 91-84 win over Miami Hamilton snapping a four-game losing streak. In her second career start, Cabañas Llorens poured in a career-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting going 3-for-5 from 3-point range with a career-best four steals and four rebounds in Detroit Mercy’s 82-79 overtime setback to Georgia Southern.
