INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State and Northern Kentucky each picked up a pair of victories to highlight this week’s #HLWBB action.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES

  • In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, Cleveland State moved up to No. 9, Youngstown State ranked No. 23 and Green Bay ranked No. 25 while Northern Kentucky received votes.
  • Cleveland State has won nine straight games, most recently picking up a 76-58 road win at Akron on Sunday. Destiny Leo scored a game-high 21 points for the Vikings while Brittni Moore added 16 points.
  • Sophomore Kailee Davis helped lead the Norse to back-to-back nonconference victories this past week, defeating both Eastern Kentucky and Miami (OH) in the I-75 Challenge, as she averaged 17.0 points and 6.5 assists.
  • Youngstown State’s Lilly Ritz scored a game-high 26 points while going 12-for-16 from the field and contributing seven rebounds, a block and a steal in the win over Canisius on Saturday as the Penguins extended their winning streak to five games.
  • Green Bay’s Sydney Levy scored a season-high 18 points to go with three rebounds in Saturday’s win over North Dakota State. The Oshkosh, Wis., native shot 53.8 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three-point range.
  • RMU’s Phoenix Gedeon ranks fourth in the League in rebounding (7.5 rebounds per game) and sixth in scoring (13.4 points per game)
  • Destiny Perkins (12.9 points per game), Jazmyn Turner (11.9 points) and Natalie Andersen (10.0 points) lead the Jags in scoring.
  • Angie Cera paced the Panthers with 21 points against Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
  • Oakland’s Breanne Beatty ranks first among #HLWBB players with a .917 free throw percentage while teammate Brooke Daniels ranks first with 2.1 steals per game.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne leads the League in steals as the Mastodons are averaging 10.5 steals per game this season.
  • Emily Chapman paced the Raiders with 18 points at Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.
  • Irene Murua averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Titans this week while shooting 54.2 percent from the field with three steals and two blocks.
