Nike #HLMBB Players of the Week (December 19)
INDIANAPOLIS – Youngstown State’s Dwayne Cohill helped lead the Penguins to a victory last week with 26 points, six assists and five rebounds to earn Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week, while Northern Kentucky’s A'lahn Sumler was named the Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week after posting back-to-back 12-point efforts in two victories for the Norse as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly honors on Monday.

Cohill picked up his second Player of the Week award of the season led the Penguins to a 1-0 record last week in Youngstown State’s 85-81 win over Southern. Cohill scored 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. He also added five rebounds, six assists and two steals. The Cleveland native finished top-10 in the League last week for points, field-goal percentage, 3-point field goal percentage, assists and steals
#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
A'lahn Sumler | Northern Kentucky | Freshman | Guard | Waterbury, Conn.
In his first extended run of the season, Sumler went for 12 points in back-to-back contests along with setting new career highs across the board in two wins. For the two-win slate, Sumler averaged 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal. He shot 8-of-12 from the field which included a mark of 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. In the Norse’s win on Wednesday against in-state rival Eastern Kentucky, Sumler hit triples with 6:04 (NKU 53-50), 3:06 (58-55 NKU), and 1:27 (61-58 NKU) left in the contest as a driving force in the Norse’s win. Coming into the week, he had played in just five minutes, and he competed for 21 minutes on Wednesday and another 17 on Sunday.
