INDIANAPOLIS (December 19, 2022) – Oakland’s Alexis Johnson earned Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week while teammate Brooke Daniels picked up Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season after the Golden Grizzlies earned a road win at Miami Ohio on Saturday. Johnson scored 25 points and added seven rebounds in the victory while Daniels scored 13 points with five assists.

Junior forward Alexis Johnson tallied a career-high 25 points and seven rebounds in Oakland’s 82-74 road victory over the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks on Saturday. Johnson shot 10-19 from the floor (52.6 percent) and added two steals. Johnson leads Oakland in scoring at 11.1 points per game and is second on the team in rebounding, averaging 4.8.

Freshman point guard Brooke Daniels tallied 13 points and a career-high five assists in the Golden Grizzlies’ 82-74 road victory over the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks on Saturday, reaching double figures for the fourth time in the last five games. On the season, Daniels’ 9.1 points per game is fourth on the team while she leads Oakland with 22 assists.
