INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay collected wins over Wisconsin and Illinois State while Cleveland State posted a 2-0 record at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic to highlight this week’s #HLWBB action.

  • In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, Cleveland State remained at No. 9 while Green Bay moved up to No. 15, Youngstown State moved up to No. 22 and Northern Kentucky received votes.
  • Sydney Levy led Green Bay to another 2-0 week with back-to-back double-digit scoring performances. In GB’s 70-60 win over Wisconsin, Levy scored 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Later in the week, the senior scored 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Since entering the starting lineup on December 10, the Phoenix is 3-0 and Levy has averaged 13.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
  • Deja Williams scored 19 points to lead the Vikings in the win over Campbell on Tuesday as Cleveland State extended its winning streak to 11 games. Destiny Leo leads CSU with 16.8 points per game and leads the League with 2.9 three-point field goals per game while shooting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc.
  • Alexis Johnson leads the Golden Grizzlies in scoring (11.5 points per game) and rebounding (5.2 rebounds per game). The junior forward tallied a career-high 25 points and seven rebounds in Oakland’s 82-74 road victory at Miami Ohio on Saturday and added 15 points and nine rebounds against Madonna on Monday.
  • Malia Magestro scored a game-high 17 points in just 24 minutes of action as YSU beat Saint Francis (Pa.) 81-41 in its lone game last week. Magestro outscored the Red Flash on her own in the opening 20 minutes with all 17 points coming in the first half as the Penguins led 49-13. Magestro was 5-for-7 from the field overall, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. She added three rebounds and an assist in the convincing victory.
  • Phoenix Gedeon posted a double-double for RMU on Friday, totaling 13 points and 10 rebounds in 21 minutes of action as the Colonials dominated St. Bonaventure, 63-39. Gedeon is averaging 13.4 points and 7.5 rebounds through 11 games to lead RMU.
  • Lindsey Duvall leads the League and the Norse with 19.8 points per game, adding 9.8 rebounds per game. Teammate Kailee Davis is also in the top four in the League in scoring with 14.5 points per game while ranking first in #HLWBB with 4.4 assists per game.
  • Kendall Nead led the Panthers offensively in their contest at Minnesota on Wednesday, totaling 18 points on 6-12 shooting.
  • Four Jaguars scored in double figures against Bowling Green on Thursday as Jazmyn Turner led IUPUI with 17 points and Destiny Perkins added 15 points. Rachel Kent scored 10 points and added seven assists for the Jags.
  • Shayla Sellers scored 19 points for the Mastodons in Sunday’s contest at Indiana State, shooting 12-13 from the free throw line.
  • Amaya Burch paced Detroit Mercy with 10 points off the bench in Sunday’s game at Michigan State.
  • Bryce Nixon scored a career-high 24 points to go along with a season-best five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in Wright State’s game against Southern Indiana. Nixon was at her best in the fourth quarter with 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting and three 3-pointers on four attempts. She also led the Raiders with 14 points at Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday afternoon.
