INDIANAPOLIS – The final #HLMBB action of 2022 saw four out of five road teams earn victories with Cleveland State, Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky and Purdue Fort Wayne all win away from home, while Oakland was the only team to defend its home court on Saturday.

GAME RECAPS
Milwaukee 84, Detroit Mercy 81
- Milwaukee earned its second HL road win of the season to move to 3-1 in League play, while Detroit Mercy suffered its first loss at Calihan Hall this season and fall to 2-2.
- The Panthers had a pair of 20-point performances led by BJ Freeman with 23 and Kentrell Pullian with 20 on five 3-pointers.
- Detroit Mercy’s Antoine Davis posted his League-best third 30-point performance this season with 31 points on 6-of-13 shooting from distance. Jayden Stone added 16 points.
- Both teams went on a number of runs during the game as MKE took a 15-point lead during the first half before the Titans then grabbed a five-point advantage early in the second half. The Panthers responded with a 23-6 run to lead by 12 followed by Detroit Mercy ending the game on an 18-9 run of its own but Milwaukee fought off a pair of 3-point attempts in the final seconds to avoid overtime and secure the win.
Oakland 81, Green Bay 65
- The Golden Grizzlies earned a weekend sweep at home with both wins coming by double figures to pull to .500 during Horizon League play.
- Jalen Moore paced Oakland with a season-high 25 points, 13 coming from the free-throw line, and five assists, while Rocket Watts added 16 and Chris Conway went 7-of-8 from the floor for 14 points.
- Three Phoenix players finished in double figures led by Randy Tucker with 17 points followed by Cade Meyer with 11 and Ryan Wade with 10.
- Oakland shot over 50 percent from the floor for the second-straight game, including over 65 percent from inside the arc, and outscored Green Bay 20-7 in fastbreak points.
Northern Kentucky 55, IUPUI 42
- Northern Kentucky remains unbeaten in Horizon League play at 4-0 as it picked up its first road win of the season.
- The last two Freshman of the Year award winners led the way for the Norse as Marques Warrick scored a game-high 15 and Sam Vinson tallied 12.
- IUPUI’s Vincent Brady II scored a team-best 13 points and Chris Osten grabbed 11 boards.
- NKU won the turnover battle 20-5, its fewest turnovers this season, and also held a 23-6 advantage in points off turnovers.
Purdue Fort Wayne 76, Youngstown State 71
- The Mastodons won its first League game on the road to improve to 2-2 in League play, while the Penguins dropped its first home game during HL play to fall to 2-2.
- Damian Chong Qui recorded a team-high 24 points, his most in a Mastodon uniform, on 9-of-15 shooting. Jarred Godfrey finished with 11 points, eight rebound and six assists, while Anthony Roberts also tallied 11 points.
- Brandon Rush scored a game-best 26 points on four triples for Youngstown State and Dwayne Cohill added 19 points. Adrian Nelson totaled 15 rebounds and seven points.
- Purdue Fort Wayne shot 53.6 percent from the floor, its best percentage against a Division I opponent this season, including going 12-of-25 from 3-point range.
Cleveland State 63, RMU 54
- Cleveland State earned its first road win during #HLMBB play to move just one game behind first place at 3-1, while RMU dropped just its second home game of the season.
- Three CSU players finished in double figures paced by Tristan Enaruna with 18 points, Deshon Parker with 14 and Drew Lowder with 11.
- Enoch Cheeks scored a game-high 19 points for RMU and Kahliel Spear finished with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting and seven rebounds.
- This game marks the fourth time this season the Vikings have allowed less than 60 points in a game as the Colonials shot just 18.8 percent from distance.
