INDIANAPOLIS – The opening week of Horizon League play ended on Monday with Green Bay picking up its first HL win of the season in a matinee from the Resch Center.

Green Bay 68, IUPUI 61
- Green Bay not only picked up its first Horizon League win but also its first home victory of the season and are now 1-2.
- Zae Blake recorded his first 20-point performance of the season for the Phoenix with an even 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from distance. Clarence Cummings III scored 16 points and Garren Davis added 13.
- Freshman Vincent Brady II continues to impress for IUPUI as he finished with 17 points and four assists. Amhad Jarrard was the only other double-digit scorer for the Jags with 12.
- It was an even game for much of the first half until Green Bay went on an 11-2 run to finish the period thanks to three triples and a highlight dunk by Donavan Short to take a 32-24 lead into the break.
- Both teams shot a similar percentage from the floor, but the Phoenix held the Jags to just 4-of-22 shooting from the 3-point line.
