INDIANAPOLIS – Week 10 of #HLWBB play began on Thursday with Cleveland State, IUPUI and Purdue Fort Wayne earning road victories while Green Bay picked up a home win.

  • Cleveland State improved to 11-5 in #HLWBB play with an 85-65 victory on Thursday as Oakland fell to 9-8 in the standings.
  • The Vikings doubled the Golden Grizzlies in rebounds (50-25) and also held advantages in second chance points (23-7) and fast break points (15-4).
  • Destiny Leo led CSU in scoring with 24 points while Nadia Dumas posted a strong double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Gabriella Smith added 15 points.
  • Kahlaijah Dean scored 17 points and Breanne Beatty contributed 12 points for OAK.
Purdue Fort Wayne 77, Detroit Mercy 62
  • Purdue Fort Wayne earned its seventh League win on Thursday, topping Detroit Mercy on the road, 77-62.
  • The Mastodons had a strong third quarter, scoring 24 points on 58.8 percent shooting (10-17) while holding the Titans to 36.4 percent shooting (4-11) and 13 points.
  • Sylare Starks scored a game-high 33 points for PFW in the victory, shooting 12-20 from the floor and 5-11 from three-point range while Amellia Bromenschenkel added 15 points.
  • Imani McNeal, Lucia Fleta Robles and Irene Murua scored in double figures for the Titans in the loss.
IUPUI 71, Milwaukee 59
  • IUPUI made it 14 straight victories on Thursday night with a 71-59 victory at Milwaukee.
  • The Jaguars built an eight-point lead at the half then extended the advantage to 15 points through three quarters to secure the win.
  • Macee Williams scored a game-high 27 points for IUPUI while Rachel McLimore added 16 points as the Jags improved to 16-3 in the standings.
  • Megan Walstad’s 15 points and Kendall Nead’s 12 points paced MKE offensively as the Panthers dropped to 10-8 in #HLWBB contests.
Green Bay 75, UIC 46
  • Green Bay extended its win streak to nine games and moved to 12-3 in #HLWBB play with a 75-46 home win over UIC on Thursday.
  • GB held UIC to just 29.8 percent shooting overall, including 4-20 (20 percent) from three-point range.
  • Sydney Levy led the Phoenix with a game-high 21 points in the victory.
  • Jaida McCloud (16 points) and Kristian Young (10 points) scored in double figures for the Flames.
