INDIANAPOLIS – Friday’s #HLMBB action had major implications on the HL standings highlighted by Wright State earning a come-from-behind victory on the road in front of a national television audience on ESPN2. In addition, Purdue Fort Wayne climbed into the top-4 of the standings with its sixth-straight win, while Cleveland State held tight to its No. 1 position with a road win and Detroit Mercy remained perfect at home this season.

Detroit Mercy 60, Northern Kentucky 52
- Detroit Mercy remains unbeaten at home this season at 6-0 and improved to 8-6 in Horizon League play.
- Antoine Davis finished with 20 points for the Titans with four 3-pointers for his 13th 20-point game this season. Noah Waterman also hit four triples to end the game with 18 points.
- Marques Warrick led the Norse with 13 points and Hubertas Pivorius went 4-for-5 from 3-point range for 12 points.
- The Titans shot just 26.9 percent from the floor in the first half, but came out hot in the second period finishing 14-for-28 from the field with eight 3-pointers over the final 20 minutes.
Purdue Fort Wayne 74, Green Bay 55
- The Mastodons won their sixth game in a row and have jumped into fourth place in the Horizon League standings at 12-6.
- Damian Chong Qui scored a team-high 16 points for Purdue Fort Wayne on 4-of-5 shooting from distance, while Deonte Billups hit five triples for 15 points and Jalon Pipkins added 13.
- Green Bay’s Kamari McGee posted a game-best 19 points and Emmanuel Ansong tallied 12.
- Purdue Fort Wayne did a great job both shooting and defending the 3-point line as it went 54.2 percent (13-24) from behind the arc and held Green Bay to just 26.3 percent (5-19) from long range.
Cleveland State 78, Milwaukee 61
- Cleveland State stays on top of the Horizon League standings at 14-4 and has now won three out of its last five games.
- Four Vikings finished in double figures as Tre Gomillion posted 20 points for just his second 20-point game of the season on 7-of-9 shooting. Torrey Patton and Yahel Hill each recorded 11 points and D’Moi Hodge added 10.
- MKE’s Joey St. Pierre scored a team-best 12 points, followed by Jordan Lathon with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
- The Vikings jumped out to a 17-point first half lead thanks to shooting over 51 percent and holding a 22-10 advantage in points in the paint over the first 20 minutes.
Wright State 78, Oakland 74
- The Raiders pulled off a double-digit comeback in front of a national television audience on ESPN2 to climb back to third place in the HL standings at 13-6.
- Grant Basile led all scorers with 26 points for WSU on 12-of-17 shooting from the floor for his ninth 20-point performance during HL play. Tanner Holden registered 17 points, while Trey Calvin and Andrew Welage both added 10.
- Oakland’s Jalen Moore posted his fifth 20-point game of the season with 20 points and seven assists. Jamal Cain fell one rebound shy of a double-double with 18 points and nine boards, while Micah Parrish hit five 3-pointers for 15.
- Wright State erased a 12-point second half deficit with a 23-9 run capped off by a Calvin 3-pointer with 2:51 to play. With under 10 seconds in regulation, Basile grabbed an offensive board and made the put back layup to take a 76-74 lead followed by Calvin forcing a turnover and feeding Holden for a dunk to seal the win.
