Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (February 21)
INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State’s Destiny Leo earned her second Nike
® #HLWBB Player of the Week honor of the season while Green Bay’s Bailey Butler picked up her fourth Freshman of the Week award. Leo led the Vikings to a pair of road wins, averaging 23.0 points and 4.0 assists and shooting 50 percent from the floor. Butler helped the Phoenix extend its win streak to ten games with a pair of victories as she averaged 6.0 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Destiny Leo averaged 23.0 points per game in a pair of wins, notching back-to-back 20-point games. The sophomore posted 24 points in the win at Oakland, before notching 22 points in the win at Detroit Mercy. She shot 50 percent from the field on the week (15-for-30) while posting a .923 clip from the free throw line (12-for-13) and also averaged 3.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. Leo continues to lead the League averaging 18.7 points per game on the season after notching nine 20-point games on the year as she helped the Vikings move into fourth place in the #HLWBB standings with one week of regular season play remaining.

Reigning Horizon League Freshman of the Week Bailey Butler had another solid week for Green Bay, who picked up two more wins and extended their streak to 10 games. In a decisive 75-46 win over UIC, Butler had four points, six rebounds, and three assists. Against IUPUI, Butler had a near double-double, posting eight points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes.
