Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (February 28)
INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI’s Macee Williams earned her fourth Nike
® #HLWBB Player of the Week honor of the season while Northern Kentucky’s Trinity Thompson picked up her first Freshman of the Week award. Williams helped the Jaguars clinch a share of the regular season title and the championship No. 1 seed with a pair of home wins, averaging 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor. Thompson recorded her first career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Detroit Mercy this week as the Norse closed out the regular season with a 2-0 record.

Macee Williams averaged 16.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in a pair of home wins for the Jaguars over Youngstown State and RMU this week as they clinched the No. 1 seed in the #HLWBB championship and a share of the regular season title. Williams shot 14-21 (66.7 percent) from the floor in the contests.

Trinity Thompson averaged 7.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in a pair of NKU victories to wrap up the regular season. In her 16 minutes off the bench against Detroit Mercy, she had a career day for the Norse, finishing with her first career double-double, recording 12 points and 13 rebounds in the win.
