INDIANAPOLIS – In Saturday’s #HLWBB action, Green Bay, Purdue Fort Wayne and Cleveland State picked home wins while Youngstown State earned a road victory.

  • Green Bay earned a fifth straight win on Saturday, moving to 8-3 in League play with a 57-41 triumph over visiting RMU.
  • The Phoenix jumped out to a fast start, taking a 21-3 lead after the first quarter and holding the Colonials to only eight points in the first half of the contest.
  • Nine GB players scored in the contest with Hailey Oskey leading the way with 10 points.
  • Nina Augustin led RMU with 12 points as the Colonials dropped to 7-9 in the standings.
Youngstown State 60, Milwaukee 56
  • Youngstown State improved to 13-3 in #HLWBB play while Milwaukee fell to 8-6 as the Penguins picked up a 60-56 road win on Saturday.
  • YSU went 6-6 from the free throw line in the final 17 seconds of the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
  • Lindsey Mack paced the Penguins with 16 points off the bench while Lilly Ritz added 11 points and Malia Magestro chipped in 10 points.
  • Megan Walstad (17 points) and Sydney Staver (15 points) led the Panthers offensively.
Purdue Fort Wayne 83, Wright State 58
  • Purdue Fort Wayne picked up its sixth #HLWBB victory on Saturday, taking down Wright State, 83-58.
  • The Mastodons jumped out to an early 22-9 lead after the first period and finished strong in the final period, outscoring the Raiders 25-12 in the fourth quarter.
  • Four PFW players scored in double figures led by Audra Emmerson with 19 points and Amellia Bromenschenkel with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Jada Roberson and Deesh Beck paced WSU with 12 points each.
Cleveland State 59, Northern Kentucky 56
  • Cleveland State moved to 9-3 in #HLWBB play with a 59-56 home win over Northern Kentucky, dropping the Norse to 10-4 in the standings.
  • Barbara Zieniewska helped the Vikings secure the win, making a pair of free throws with seven seconds remaining in the contest.
  • Nadia Dumas and Amele Ngwafang paced CSU with 14 points each with Ngwafang adding 10 rebounds for a double-double.
  • Emmy Souder led NKU with 22 points and Lindsey Duvall contributed 14 points in the setback.
