Nike #HLBASE Players of the Week (April 12)
INDIANAPOLIS – Liam McFadden-Ackman of Northern Kentucky slugged his way to Nike® #HLBASE Batter of the Week after leading the Norse to a 3-1 week and League sweep. Purdue Fort Wayne’s Jacob Myer earned #HLBASE Pitcher of the Week following a perfect 2-0 week on the bump with a Power Five and League win.

Liam McFadden-Ackman | Northern Kentucky | Sophomore | Infielder | Mason, Ohio
Liam McFadden-Ackman helped lead the Norse to a 3-1 record this past week, which included a road sweep of Horizon League opponent Youngstown State. McFadden-Ackman started in all four games in the infield for NKU, totaling a batting average of .563 (9-for-16) for the week. He led Northern Kentucky in runs scored (7), total hits (9), doubles (2) and stolen bases (1). The sophomore finished the week with four RBI, an on base percentage of .579 and a slugging percentage of .688 to help the Norse move up to third place overall in the League.

Jacob Myer | Purdue Fort Wayne | Junior | Left-Handed Pitcher | Milwaukee, Wis.
Myer helped Purdue Fort Wayne to a perfect 4-0 week as he picked up two wins on the mound for the Mastodons. The junior began the week tossing 1.1 scoreless innings and earned the win as Purdue Fort Wayne defeated Michigan, 6-3, for its second-ever victory over the Wolverines and their first since 2012. It is the Mastodons' first win over a Big Ten school since the 'Dons took a pair from Purdue in 2016. Over the weekend, Myer threw 7.1 shutout innings at Milwaukee scattering five hits and totaling four strikeouts for his second win of the week. For the week, the lefthander tossed 8.1 innings without allowing a run and collected five strikeouts compared to just one walk.
