INDIANAPOLIS – The fourth week of #HLWBB play continued on Friday with Oakland picking up a win at home to pull to .500 overall this season and Wright State rallying from a first-half deficit for its first HL win of the season.

  • The Golden Grizzlies picked up their second win in three games and improved to 5-1 at home this season.
  • Oakland won the rebounding battle 49-26, including a 27-7 advantage on the offensive glass that led to the Golden Grizzlies outscoring the Norse 24-1 in second-chance points.
  • Oakland’s Brooke Quarles-Daniels registered career-highs with 20 points and 18 rebounds to go along with seven assists and six steals. Cameron Grant added 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and Alexis Johnson chipped in 12.
  • Khamari Mitchell-Steen paced the Norse with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Kailee Davis tallied 14 points and Lindsey Duvall added 12.
Wright State 82, Detroit Mercy 69
  • Wright State picked up its first #HLWBB win of the season with a comeback victory on the road.
  • WSU trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half before rallying back thanks to hot shooting from distance as it shot 11-of-14 from 3-point range over the final two quarters.
  • Kacee Baumhower scored a career-high 23 points to lead the way for the Raiders. Bryce Nixon finished with 18 points on a career-best six 3-pointers, while Emily Chapman added 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
  • Three Detroit Mercy players posted double-doubles led by Emma Trawally Porta with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Irene Murua scored 14 points and grabbed 10 boards, while Amaya Burch collected 11 points and 11 rebounds.
