INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State, Green Bay, IUPUI and Milwaukee posted 2-0 records in the second week of #HLWBB play.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES

  • In this week’s College Insider Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll, Cleveland State moved up three spots to No. 6 while Green Bay moved up two spots to No. 12, Youngstown State ranked No. 21 and Northern Kentucky and IUPUI received votes.
  • Destiny Leo averaged 17.5 points in a pair of #HLWBB wins as CSU extended its winning streak to a program-record 13 games. She opened the week with 14 points in the win at Youngstown State and followed that up with 21 points in the win at RMU, marking her fifth 20-point game of the season.
  • IUPUI has two players in the top four in scoring in #HLWBB play as Jazmyn Turner ranks third with 19.0 points per game and Destiny Perkins is fourth with 16.8 points per game.
  • Green Bay leads the League in turnover margin (6.5) and assist-turnover ratio (1.77) in #HLWBB play. The Phoenix are also first in free throw percentage (78.4 percent) in League contests.
  • In a pair of Milwaukee wins this week, Kendall Nead averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. The sophomore shot 43.5 percent from the floor and was 6-for-9 from three-point range.
  • Youngstown State’s Dena Jarrells paces the League with 4.5 assists per game in League contests while teammate Lilly Ritz ranks first with 1.8 blocks per #HLWBB game.
  • Lindsey Duvall continued to lead Northern Kentucky this week, averaging a double-double during with 25.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game while shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne’s Amellia Bromenschenkel ranks first among League players with 3.0 steals per #HLWBB game as the Mastodons lead the category of team steals as well with 10.25 per League contest.
  • Phoenix Gedeon leads RMU and ranks second in the League with 11.0 rebounds per game in #HLWBB play while ranking seventh in scoring with 13.0 points per League contest.
  • Oakland’s Breanne Beatty leads the League with 36.8 minutes in #HLWBB play as she paces the Golden Grizzlies with 9.8 points per League game.
  • Detroit Mercy’s Irene Murua is ranked in the top ten in rebounding with 6.5 boards per League game.
  • Bryce Nixon leads Wright State with 12.3 points per game in League action.
