INDIANAPOLIS – Two great games closed out this weekend’s #HLMBB action as Oakland won its fourth consecutive HL game on a last second basket and Northern Kentucky earned an overtime victory with a buzzer beater to end regulation to move into a tie for first place in the HL standings.

Oakland 75, Wright State 73
- The Golden Grizzlies won their fourth game in a row to move into a tie for second place in the HL standings, just one game behind first place.
- Jalen Moore led five Oakland players in double figures with 20 points to go with five assists. Rocket Watts and Trey Townsend each recorded 12 points, while Blake Lampman added 11 and Chris Conway posted 10.
- WSU was paced by AJ Braun with 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting followed by Amari Davis and Brandon Noel each tallying 14 points apiece with Noel collecting his third straight double-double with 15 rebounds.
- This game came down to the wire as Davis hit a jumper with 32.4 seconds left in regulation to put the Raiders up 73-72 before Watts would make the game-winning shot for the Golden Grizzlies with a 3-pointer in the corner with just 12.6 seconds on the clock.
Northern Kentucky 78, Detroit Mercy 76 (OT)
- Northern Kentucky picked up its third win in four games to keep pace with Milwaukee and share first place in the Horizon League standings at 5-1.
- Marques Warrick scored a team-high 19 points with six assists for the Norse, while Trevon Faulkner added 14 points and A'lahn Sumler added 12.
- For the second-straight game, Detroit Mercy had a pair of 20-point performances as Antoine Davis finish with 29 on five 3-pointers and Jayden Stone matched a career-high with 24 points on 6-of-8 shooting from distance.
- NKU sent the game to overtime when Faulkner hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game at 71-71. In overtime, the Norse would take a 75-73 lead and never trail again after Chris Brandon blocked a layup attempt that led to a Sumler 3-pointer with two minutes left in the extra period.
