Milwaukee Earns No. 1 Seed as 2023 #HLWSOC Championship Bracket Revealed

INDIANAPOLIS (October 25, 2023) – Milwaukee earned the #HLWSOC regular season title and the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Horizon League championship as the regular season came to a close and the
championship bracket was revealed on Wednesday. The Panthers will host the semifinals and championship on Nov. 2 and 4 at Engelmann Stadium.

- For the eighth time in the last nine seasons, Milwaukee has clinched the No. 1 seed in the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Championship.
- The Panthers concluded the 2023 regular season with a 7-0-3 League record and a 10-2-5 overall record.
- MKE will play its semifinal match against the lowest-remaining seed after the quarterfinal matches on Thursday, Nov. 2.
- IUPUI enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed and will also receive a bye into the semifinal round.
- The Jaguars finished the regular season with a League record of 5-1-4 and an 11-3-4 overall record.
- IUPUI will take on the highest-remaining seed from the quarterfinal matches on Nov. 2 at Engelmann Stadium.
- The 2023 #HLWSOC Championship begins Sunday, October 29 with quarterfinals hosted by No. 3 seed Northern Kentucky and No. 4 seed RMU.
- Both matches are set to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
- The Norse and the Colonials both finished the regular season with 16 points in League play.
- NKU received the No. 3 seed after defeating RMU during the regular season.
- Northern Kentucky will host No. 6 seed Detroit Mercy, who wrapped up the regular season with 15 points following a win over Oakland on Wednesday.
- The Norse defeated the Titans, 3-1, earlier this month.
- RMU will host No. 5 seed Wright State as the Colonials closed out League play with 15 points after a victory at Youngstown State to finish the regular season.
- The Colonials defeated the Raiders 4-2 during the regular season.
- WSU held the tiebreaker over Detroit Mercy for the No. 5 seed after defeating the Titans 1-0 on Oct. 12.
