INDIANAPOLIS (October 30, 2023) – Milwaukee’s Lainey Higgins and IUPUI’s Cailynn Junk earned the final Under Armour #HLWSOC weekly awards of the season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | LAINEY HIGGINS | MILWAUKEE | JUNIOR | MF | APPLETON, WIS.
- Put together a brilliant effort to lead Milwaukee to a 4-0 victory over Green Bay to cap an unbeaten Horizon League slate at 7-0-3
- Recorded a season-high five points, tallying a pair of goals and an assist in the win
- Scored her first to make it 2-0, set up the third goal just into the second half with a perfect thru ball and closed out the scoring on a give-and-go later in the second half to complete her first multi-goal outing as a Panther
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK | CAILYNN JUNK | IUPUI | SOPHOMORE | GK | ST. JOSEPH, MICH.
- Delivered a second straight shutout in the Jaguars’ 2-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne, helping IUPUI secure the No. 2 seed in the championship
- Faced seven total shots, making six saves
- Extended her personal scoreless streak to 223 minutes
