Wright State and Green Bay Advance to #HLVB Championship Match

DAYTON (November 18, 2023) – The 2023 #HLVB Championship match is set as the No. 1 seed Wright State and No. 2 seed Green Bay claimed victories in Saturday’s semifinal action.
No. 1 seed Wright State 3, No. 6 seed Cleveland State 0
- The Raiders swept the match: 25-9, 25-15, 25-18
- WSU finished the match with a .456 hitting percentage.
- #HLVB Player of the Year Callie Martin led the Raiders with 15 digs.
- Sam Ott neared a double-double with 14 kills and 9 digs for WSU.
- Emma Walker led CSU with 11 digs on the night.
- #HLVB Setter of the Year Katie Meyer finished with 39 assists for the Raiders.
No. 2 seed Green Bay 3, No. 4 seed Northern Kentucky 2
- NKU took the first two sets: 25-21, 25-22
- GB completed the reverse sweep: 25-22, 25-21, 15-13
- The Norse were led by All-League First Team duo Abby Kanakry with 19 kills and a double-double by Joy Banks with 15 kills and 15 digs.
- All-League First Team member Hannah Vanden Berg led the Phoenix with 22 kills on the night.
- GB ended the night with 11 blocks, to NKU’s 10.
- All-League First Team member Tiffany Paalman also added18 kills for the Phoenix.
