Top Two Seeds Oakland and Green Bay Advance to #HLMSOC Championship

ROCHESTER, MICH. (November 9, 2023) – No. 1 seed Oakland and No. 2 seed Green Bay advanced to Saturday’s #HLMSOC championship after Thursday’s semifinals.
No. 1 seed Oakland 1, No. 5 seed Purdue Fort Wayne 0
- Oakland led 1-0 at halftime after a goal by Owen Smith in the 25th minute.
- The Golden Grizzlies maintained a clean sheet for the rest of the match.
- Oakland totaled six shots while holding the Mastodons to four, none on target.
- The Mastodons’ Max Collingwood totaled two saves.
No. 2 seed Green Bay 2, No. 3 seed IUPUI 1
- Keegan Walker put the Phoenix up 1-0 with an assist from midfielder Josh Johansen.
- Andrew Paolucci doubled the lead for Green Bay in the 41st minute making the score 2-0.
- In the second half, IUPUI’s Logan Finnegan finished a header to cut the lead to 2-1.
- Green Bay totaled nine shots, with five on target.
- IUPUI had six shots, with four on target.
- The Phoenix’s Tobias Jahn made three saves in the match.
- Lucas Morefield collected three saves for the Jaguars.
