 #HLWBB DIG DEEPER
  • Stingy Defense Leads to Win for Mastodons
    • Purdue Fort Wayne earned their seventh win of the year over Bellarmine 57-46 on Wednesday. The ‘Dons defense stepped up in this contest, racking up 14 steals and forcing 23 turnovers. It was the third time they have forced 23 or more turnovers this season.
  • Penguins Follow Skid with Back-to-Back Wins
    • Youngstown State ended a streak of close losses with consecutive wins this week. The Penguins won a close battle with Akron on Wednesday, 53-52. They would follow it up with a 69-32 victory on Saturday over Saint Francis (PA).
  • Vikings Just Keep Winning
    • Cleveland State stayed with their winning ways this week, extending their streak to nine wins in a row. In their wins, the Vikings averaged 31 free throw attempts a game — a stat they lead the League in by a large margin.
  • Titans Rally to Victory over Broncos
    • Down as much as 18 points in the game, Detroit Mercy battled all the way back for the 62-59 win over Western Michigan on Wednesday. Irene Murua and Amaya Burch led the team with 17 and 11 points, respectively.
  • Jaguars Win Over In-State Foe Aces
    • IUPUI won their first road game of the year Wednesday night with a 81-75 victory over Evansville. The Jags shot a season-best 46% from the field on the way to scoring a season-high 81 points. 26 points from Katie Davidson and a 17 point-12 rebound double-double from Faith Stinson led the way.
  • Down 20? No Problem!
    • After a cold start put the Golden Grizzlies down 20 points, Oakland fought their way back to beat Central Michigan 79-76 on Saturday. A 26-11 run in their fourth quarter proved to be too much for the Chippewas. A combined 35 points — including seven three-pointers — off the bench from Maddy Skorupski and Kennedie Montue provided a huge punch as well.
  • Hutchison Lights Up the Nutter Center
    • Wright State won yet another contest at home with a 81-67 win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday. #HLWBB Player of the Week Alexis Hutchison put a season-high 32 points on an efficient 12-17 from the field.
  • Norse Trio Round Up the Thorobreds
    • Northern Kentucky defeated Kentucky State 74-70 behind the play of Khamari Mitchell-Steen, Macey Blevins, and #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Carter McCray. The triplet combined for 51 points on 20-36 shooting.
