With the victory, he became the 20th head coach in NCAA women’s basketball history to reach 800 career wins. Natalie McNeal led the Phoenix in the game with a career-high 19 points. Nead’s Double-Double Powers Panthers’ Victory #HLWBB Player of the Week Kendall Nead recorded her first double-double of the season in Milwaukee’s 59-52 win against Eastern Illinois on Friday. Nead’s 19 points marked the 12th time this season she has scored in double figures, and her 13 rebounds were a career-high. Vuletich with Career Day Against Charleston Danielle Vuletich had herself a day against the College of Charleston in what resulted in a 71-65 Colonials win on Saturday. Vuletich finished the game with career highs in points (19) and rebounds (16). Teammates Natalie Johnson and Naomi Barnwell also scored in double figures with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Phoenix Soar to Early Lead, Land with Blowout Win A 25-8 first quarter proved too much for Saint Louis, as Green Bay scored early and often on the way to a 87-54 victory on Saturday. Shooting over 54% as a team, four different players scored in double figures for the green and white. Maddy Schreiber led the way with 19 points, followed by Bailey Butler with 12, Cassie Schiltz with 11, and Natalie McNeal with 10. Hooper and Corcoran Lead Titans Over the Knights Myonna Hooper set the nail and Annika Corcoran laid down the hammer to complete Detroit Mercy’s fourth-quarter comeback against Bellarmine, 59-49, on Monday. Hooper only missed one shot during her career-high 19-point performance that also came with eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Corcoran rattled off 11 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter, each bucket coming one after the other to place the lead firmly in the Titans’ grasp. RMU Cleans the Glass with Fairmont State The Colonials’ work on the boards proved fruitful in their 66-55 win over Fairmont State on Monday. RMU outrebounded their opponent 43-24, including a 14-7 disparity on the offensive glass.
