#HLWBB DIG DEEPER
  • Maples Leads Vikings in Strong Start to League Play
    • Cleveland State’s Colbi Maples stepped up in a big way to lead the Vikings to a 2-0 start in the first leg of league play this past week. The #HLWBB Player of the Week averaged 24 points in the two wins against RMU and Northern Kentucky and ranks third in the League in scoring for the season.
  • Defense! Defense! Defense!
    • Detroit Mercy defended their way to a 2-0 week in League play. They held both of their opponents to an average of 52.5 points, 29% from the field and 14 turnovers per game.
  • Raiders Win Round One Against Jaguars
    • Wright State defended home court with a 79-67 win over IUPUI on Thursday. Alexis Hutchison led the Raiders with a game-high 22 points and eclipsed 1,500 in her career. Layne Ferrell, Kacee Baumhower, and Lauren Scott all scored in double digits as well.
  • High Octane Offense in Fort Wayne
    • The highest scoring offense in the League powered the Mastodons to wins against Oakland and Wright State to begin their League play slate. #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Renna Schwieterman added to the mix a big way this past week, averaging 12 points and 4 rebounds in the two wins.
  • Nothing but the NET
    • In the first official NET rankings, Green Bay ranked the highest of any team in the League at 27th. They added a League win to their resume with a 76-53 win over Milwaukee on Thursday. Maddy Schreiber led the Phoenix on what was a hot day from three by going 4-4 from behind the arc.
    RMU Win Close Battle Against Youngstown State
    • The Colonials came out on top against the Penguins in a 65-63 win on Thursday. Naomi Barnwell came up clutch with the game-winning basket with 13 seconds left to take the lead late in the fourth. She ended up with a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Milwaukee Takes Road Win over IUPUI
    • Kendall Nead’s team-high 16 points led the Panthers to a 70-59 road win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Anna Lutz and Angie Cera added in 12 and 11 points, respectively, to power Milwaukee to the victory.
