INDIANAPOLIS – Friday’s #HLMBB action featured Wright State earning a rivalry win in front of a national television audience with a strong offensive performance in the second half. Youngstown State remains in first place with its 20th overall victory of the season, a new Division I record for the 'Guins, while Cleveland State won in dramatic fashion to pick up its 10th HL win and pull into a share of third place.

Youngstown State 81, Purdue Fort Wayne 72
- Youngstown State matches its longest win streak of the season with its fifth-straight victory to remain in first place at 12-3. Purdue Fort Wayne drops consecutive games for the first time this season and falls to 7-8 in League play.
- Dwayne Cohill posted his second 30-point performance of the season for YSU with 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting. Adrian Nelson fell just short of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds and Brandon Rush added 12 points.
- Jarred Godfrey matched a game-high 33 points on six 3-pointers for the Mastodons to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Ra Kpedi ended the game with 13 points.
- The Penguins shot over 50 percent from the field for the ninth time in League play as they finished the game shooting 62.8 percent (27-43) from inside the arc.
Cleveland State 57, RMU 55
- The Vikings snapped a two-game losing skid to reach double-digit victories in Horizon League play for the third-straight season.
- Four CSU players finished in double figures led by Deshon Parker with 12 points followed by Tristan Enaruna and Drew Lowder with 11 points apiece. Deante Johnson registered double-double No. 2 on the season with 10 points and 10 boards including hitting the game-winning shot.
- Enoch Cheeks paced the Colonials with 17 points with five assists and four blocks. Stephaun Walker recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards, while Kahliel Spear missed out on a double-double of his own with 11 points and nine rebounds.
- Cleveland State hit the game-winner with just 2.2 seconds left in regulation when Johnson collected the second offensive rebound of the possession and made the tip-in lay up.
Wright State 83, Northern Kentucky 65
- Wright State picked up its fifth victory in its last six contests in front of a national television audience on ESPNU to improve to 9-7 in HL play. Northern Kentucky drops to 10-5 in HL play as it falls for the second-straight game.
- All five WSU starters finished in double figures with Trey Calvin leading the way with 23 points. Brandon Noel had a perfect shooting night going 7-for7 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the foul line for 18 points. Andrew Welage and Tim Finke finished with 12 points each and Alex Huibregtse ended the game with 11.
- NKU’s Marques Warrick led all scorers with 27 points on five 3-points and Sam Vinson posted a full stat sheet with 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
- The Raiders led 34-31 at the break but shot over 71 percent (20-28) from the field in the second half, missing just two shots from inside the arc, to outscore the Norse 49-34 over the final 20 minutes.
