Nike #HLWBB Players of the Week (February 20)

INDIANAPOLIS (February 20, 2023) – Cleveland State’s Brittni Moore earned Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week for the second time this season while Milwaukee’s Kamy Peppler picked up Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week for the second time. Moore posted three straight double-doubles in three wins for the Vikings, averaging 13.3 points and 13.7 rebounds. Peppler posted 8.5 points and 3.5 assists per game on the road this week for the Panthers as they earned a win at Youngstown State on Friday.

Moore averaged a double-double on the week (13.3 points and 13.7 rebounds), notching three double-doubles against Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Kentucky and Wright State. Moore opened the week with 12 points and 13 rebounds at Purdue Fort Wayne then posted 13 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the win over Northern Kentucky. She closed out the week with a 15-point, 12-rebound performance in the win against Wright State. Moore also combined for eight assists, four steals and three blocked shots on the week as she helped the Vikings extend their current win streak to nine straight games, improving to 26-3 overall and 16-2 in league play to remain at the top of the #HLWBB standings.

Peppler posted an average of 8.5 points per game this week while also leading the team with seven assists of the bench. She scored 11 points for the Panthers in the win at YSU on Friday. For the week, she connected on 7-of-12 from the field (58.3 percent) and 2-of-5 from three (40.0 percent). Peppler also added four steals and five rebounds from her guard position.
