INDIANAPOLIS – The 2023 Barbasol #HLWBB Championship resumes at noon ET on Monday with semifinal action.

#HLWBB NEWS & NOTES
  • Green Bay ranks fourth nationally in field goal percentage defense (33.4) and turnovers per game (11.6) while the Phoenix are eighth in scoring defense (53.0) and ninth in assist-turnover ratio (1.32).
  • GB’s Bailey Butler paces the League with a 2.3 assist-turnover ratio and ranks second with 4.1 assists per game. Sydney Levy leads the Phoenix with 11.6 points and 2.1 three-point field goals per game.
  • The Phoenix offense jumped out to a fast start in the quarterfinal win over Wright State, posting 30 points in the first quarter and 52 total in the first half. Jasmine Kondrakiewicz led GB with 18 points, Cassie Schiltz added 14 points and Levy and Callie Genke also scored in double figures.
  • Green Bay has collected 16 #HLWBB titles, earning its most recent title in 2018 to complete a run of five consecutive championships.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne ranks first among League teams in turnovers forced per game (18.3) and second in turnover margin (3.25). The Mastodons average 7.7 three-point field goals per game, most among the four semifinal squads.
  • Amellia Bromenschenkel leads PFW in scoring with 12.5 points per game and rebounding (5.1 per game). All-Defensive Team selection Shayla Sellers paces the ‘Dons with 1.8 steals per game while Jazzlyn Linbo adds 1.1 blocked shots per game.
  • The Mastodons shot 56.5 percent from three-point range, making 13 three-pointers in the win over IUPUI in the quarterfinals. Bromenschenkel and Audra Emmerson led PFW with 18 points each and Shayla Sellers chipped in 12 points.
  • Purdue Fort Wayne is seeking its first #HLWBB title and making its first appearance in the semifinal round.
  • Cleveland State is second in the country in free throws made per game (17.22) and third in free throw attempts per game (24.2). CSU leads the League in scoring offense (74.9 points), scoring margin (17.7), rebounding (42.4), steals (9.2) and blocked shots (3.8).
  • Destiny Leo leads the League and the Vikings in scoring (17.7 points), free throw percentage (.914), three-point field goal percentage (.379) and three-point field goals per game (2.5). Amele Ngwafang paces CSU with 7.9 rebounds per game while freshman Jordana Reisma totals 1.3 blocks per game.
  • Brittni Moore led the Vikings with 17 points and added seven rebounds in Thursday’s quarterfinal win over Milwaukee. Gabriella Smith added 13 points and Deja Williams contributed 10 points.
  • Cleveland State is making its fourth consecutive appearance in the semifinal round of the championship. The Vikings are seeking their third #HLWBB title and first since 2010.
  • Northern Kentucky is averaging 68.5 points per game while holding opponents to 64.6 points per game. The Norse have posted a 1.57 turnover margin and a 1.06 assist-turnover ratio this season.
  • Lindsey Duvall leads the Norse with 17.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 36.7 minutes per game while shooting 41.2 percent from the field. Kailee Davis paces NKU with 3.3 assists per game while Ivy Turner contributes 3.1 assists per game.
  • Duvall hit the game-winning shot with four seconds remaining in the quarterfinals at Youngstown State to send the Norse to Indy, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Davis also posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Northern Kentucky is back in the semifinals for the first time since 2020 and is seeking its first #HLWBB championship game appearance.
