INDIANAPOLIS (April 28, 2023) – The Horizon League announced its 2023 #HLGOLF All-League awards on Friday as selected by the League’s head coaches. Tyler Goecke earned his second straight Men’s Golfer of the Year award after collecting individual medalist honors at the 2023 #HLGOLF Championship following a two-hole playoff. Goecke posted a final round 69, leading the Raiders to a runner-up team finish. Goecke averaged 70.37 per round during the regular season and is the first back-to-back HL Golfer of the Year since Cleveland State’s Andrew Bailey won the award three consecutive times from 2012 to 2014.
Sabrina Coffman is the Women’s Golfer of the Year following her individual medalist performance at the League championship earlier this week. Coffman shot a four-over par 220 at the championship, earning medalist honors by three shots. Coffman averaged rounds of 76.77 in the regular season. She is the first Viking since 2004 to be named Golfer of the Year and also picked up her second straight All-League First Team honor.

Billy King was named Men’s Golf Coach of the Year after the Mastodons earned their first #HLGOLF championship on Tuesday, scoring 290 in each of the three rounds to win the title by five strokes.
Lee Reinke earned his first Women’s Golf Coach of the Year honor following Green Bay’s first #HLGOLF title and is the first Phoenix head coach to win the award. GB posted final rounds of 296 and 299 on Monday and Tuesday after an opening round 319 to secure the championship, winning by 12 strokes.
Joining Goecke on the Men’s Golf All-League First Team are Oakland’s Colin Sikkenga, Purdue Fort Wayne’s Kasey Lilly and Hunter Mefford and fellow Raider Mikkel Mathiesen.
