IUPUI Men’s Tennis and Green Bay Women’s Golf Collect 2023 Horizon League Raise Your Sights Awards

INDIANAPOLIS (June 12, 2023) – The Horizon League Raise Your Sights award winners have been announced for the 2022-23 academic year with IUPUI men’s tennis and Green Bay women’s golf collecting the awards.
The honor is given annually to the top academic male and female team in the Horizon League, based on combined grade point average (GPA) from the current academic year. Green Bay women’s golf led the League with a 3.85 GPA for the academic year while IUPUI men’s tennis was the top men’s team in the League with a 3.809 GPA.
“I want to congratulate the IUPUI men’s tennis team and the Green Bay women’s golf team, as well as all of our top teams, for their incredible academic achievements this year,” Horizon League Commissioner Julie Roe Lach said. “It is extraordinary to see all these student-athletes excel academically. This is a remarkable accomplishment and we are proud to recognize these student-athletes for their excellence in the classroom, in addition to athletics.”
The top academic male and female teams from each member institution are also recognized by the Horizon League. Eight different League sports were represented with men’s soccer receiving the most representation on the list with five programs while three women’s basketball teams, three women’s golf teams and three women’s tennis teams were recognized. Baseball, men’s golf, men’s tennis and women’s soccer each had two teams earn Raise Your Sights awards.
