Horizon League Releases Spring 2023 Academic Honor Roll Honorees

INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring 2023 semester academic honor roll was released Thursday as 1264 Horizon League student-athletes achieved the distinction. All 11 member schools and 19 League sports were represented on the list.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) Participation in at least one of the League’s 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
Youngstown State leads the list with 167 student-athletes on the academic honor roll. Milwaukee (159), Oakland (129), IUPUI (116), Cleveland State (111), Northern Kentucky (110), and Purdue Fort Wayne (108), all exceeded 100 Student athletes. Detroit Mercy (93), Wright State (91), Green Bay (90), and RMU (90) combined for the remaining 364 student athletes.
With 181 student-athletes on the honor roll, Women’s cross country/track & field had the highest representation of the League’s sports. Women’s soccer and men’s cross country/track & field round out the top-three with 167 and 134 honorees, respectively.
