Shooting 50% for the entire game, Purdue Fort Wayne had highly efficient 83/67/86 shooting splits in the fourth quarter. Amellia Bromenschenkel led the team with 17 points, and both Shayla Sellers and Audra Emmerson hit double figures with 16 and 10 points, respectively. Vikings Dominate with Consecutive 20-Point Victories Cleveland State locked down defensively in the last week of play, resulting in two wins against Detroit Mercy and Purdue Fort Wayne. The Vikings held both opponents to under 57 points and a combined field goal percentage of 34%. On the offensive end, #HLWBB Player of the Week Mickayla Perdue averaged 22 points in those two games on 50% shooting from the field. Milwaukee Keeps Up Winning Ways Milwaukee has won three games in a row, two coming in the last week against RMU and Youngstown State. Three-time #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Jorey Buwalda led the Panthers with 17 points in their 73-58 win over the Colonials on Thursday. On Saturday, Kamy Peppler’s 24 points and five three-pointers — including a dagger three with 24 seconds left — powered the Panthers to a 66-58 win over the Penguins. Phoenix Stay Hot, Winning Streak Now At 9 Games Green Bay kept their spot atop the #HLWBB standings this week with two more convincing wins. Outscoring opponents by an average of 18.4 points this season, the Phoenix handed out two 30+ point losses to Youngstown State and RMU in consecutive games. Green Bay has not had a game within 10 points since the beginning of their win streak, a 64-56 win over UIC on December 13. Golden Grizzlies Earn Big Home Win Over Titans Oakland produced a complete game on Saturday, handling Detroit Mercy 89-55. Five players scored in double figures — Kennedie Montue led with 20, Miriam Ibezim scored 14, Linda van Schaik ended with 12, Brooke Quarles-Daniels finished with 11 and Alexis Johnson added 10. The Golden Grizzlies was also disruptive on the defensive end, holding the Titans to 35% from the floor and 18% from three. Jaguars Log Best Shooting Percentage of Season in Sunday Win IUPUI was on the right side of a shootout on Sunday, beating Northern Kentucky 96-81. The Jags received several efficient performances, led by a 27-point, seven-assist afternoon from Katie Davidson, who shot 11-14 from the field.
