INDIANAPOLIS (January 8, 2024) – IUPUI’s Katie Davidson and Milwaukee’s Jorey Buwalda earned this week’s Under Armour #HLWBB weekly awards.
Player of the Week: Katie Davidson | IUPUI | Jr. | G/F | Indianapolis, Ind.
- Led the Jaguars to a #HLWBB win over Detroit Mercy with her second 30-point game of the season
- Totaled 30 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in the overtime win
- Shot 66.7 percent (12-for-18) from the floor and 60 percent (3-for-5) from behind the arc
- Leads the league in scoring with 19.2 points per game.
Freshman of the Week: Jorey Buwalda | Milwaukee | Freshman | Forward | Randolph, Wis.
- Averaged a double-double on the week with 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game.
- Had a .643 shooting percentage, while also connecting on 77.8 percent from the line.
- Had four assists, two blocks and one steal on the week.
- Is 13th in the Horizon League in rebounding, and fourth in free throw percentage.
