Dena Jarells and Paige Shy both poured in 18 points. Malia Magestro and Emily Saunders both contributed 10 points. The Penguins shot ball efficiently too, recording a 51% clip from the field and 42% from three. Davidson Goes for 30 in Jaguars Win Katie Davidson had herself a night on Thursday, scoring a game-high 30 points in a 81-76 win against Detroit Mercy. It was the second time that Davidson has hit the 30-point mark this season. Teammates Jazmyn Turner and Tahlia Walton hit big in the game as well, scoring 21 and 13 points, respectively. Three-Point Shooting Helps Mastodons Take Down Colonials Purdue Fort Wayne continued a season-long trend of shooting well from deep in their 68-56 win over RMU on Thursday. The Mastodons hit 10 threes in the game, including four in both the first and third quarters. Destinee Marshall went 3-4 from the three-point line, ending with a team-high 15 points. Raiders’ Big First Quarter Propels to Friday Win Wright State got it going early and kept their lead the entire way towards a 77-70 win over Milwaukee on Friday. The Raiders opened with a 28-15 lead after the first quarter, shooting a blazing 12-17 from the field. Four players hit double digits for Wright State, with Alexis Hutchison’s 24 points leading the way. Phoenix Stay Perfect in League Play Green Bay extended their winning streak to seven and kept their League record unblemished by going 2-0 in the past week. The League’s second ranked offense and top ranked defense showed out, scoring an average 80.5 points and holding Northern Kentucky and Wright State to an average of 59.5 points. Vikings Play Stifling Defense in Win Against Penguins Cleveland State held Youngstown State to a season-low in points by any League team this season in their 79-37 win on Saturday. The Vikings tied their season-high total in steals with 19. On the offensive end, they received great production from Sara Guerreiro, Colbi Maples, and Jordana Reisma, all of whom eclipsed the 10-point mark. Peppler and Buwalda Power Panthers Past Norse Sharpshooter Kamy Peppler and #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Jorey Buwalda combined for 42 points in Milwaukee’s 75-67 win against Northern Kentucky on Sunday. Peppler, the League’s leader in three-point field goals, scored 24 points and hit four three-pointers.
