INDIANAPOLIS (November 14, 2024) – No. 1 seed Oakland and No. 2 seed RMU advance to the #HLMSOC championship match following their semifinal wins on Thursday.
 
No. 1 seed Oakland 2, No. 4 seed Green Bay 0

  • The Golden Grizzlies struck first quickly, scoring in the third minute as Malik Sylvester headed in a corner from Carson Ballagh.
  • The Phoenix launched the ball at the net 13 times in the first half.
  • Andrew Darakdjian scored Oakland’s second goal of the match off an assist from Abdul-Al-Rashed in the 59th minute.
  • Alex Flowers recorded a season-high 11 saves in the match for Oakland.
  • Green Bay’s Alvaro Rodriguez finished the day with four saves.
  • The two teams combined for 21 corner kicks in the match.
  • The contest was a rematch of last season’s #HLMSOC championship game, where the Phoenix won 1-0.

  • The first half was a defensive showcase, as both teams combined for just one shot on goal.
  • The game winner for the Colonials came from Chase Gilley in the 65th minute, who snuck the ball under the keeper and just past the end line.
  • The Panthers ended the match with seven shots, three of them on goal.
  • Milwaukee’s Daniel Ibarra logged four saves in the match.
  • Josh Lane corralled three saves for RMU.
