INDIANAPOLIS (February 20, 2024) – Oakland posted a 2-0 record to capture sole possession of the top spot in the #HLMBB standings, a half-game ahead of Green Bay, while Milwaukee went 2-0 to move into a three-way tie for fifth to highlight this week’s action.

  • Under Armour #HLMBB Player of the Week Jack Gohlke led the Golden Grizzlies to a 2-0 week with 27.0 points per game, all off the bench. He was lights out against IUPUI as he went 10-of-15 (.667) from three and matched his career high in points with 31 in only 24:02 of court time. He also hit six three’s at Purdue Fort Wayne and finished with 23 points in the road win.
  • Four Panthers scored in double figures in Milwaukee’s three-point win at Cleveland State on Wednesday. Faizon Fields posted 17 points while Erik Pratt added 13 points. In Saturday’s one-point home victory over NKU, BJ Freeman led the way with 26 points off the bench while Pratt added 13. Angelo Stuart hit the game-winner for the Panthers with 1.4 seconds remaining.
  • Wright State scored 101 points on Saturday, shooting a blistering 64.2 percent from the floor and 63.6 percent from three-point range. AJ Braun paced the Raiders with 24 points while Trey Calvin and Brandon Noel added 21 points each. Tanner Holden added 12 points, reaching 2,000 for his collegiate career.
  • Tristan Enaruna averaged 25.5 points, eight rebounds, and 2.5 assists in two games for the Vikings this week and continued his streak of seven consecutive games with 20 points or more. He played all 40 minutes in Saturday’s victory over Youngstown State, scoring 31 points.
  • DJ Burns again averaged a double-double for Youngstown State last week with 17.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. He set the Youngstown State single-season double-doubles record with 17 after scoring 24 points and grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds in a win over RMU then recorded his 10th straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds against Cleveland State on Saturday.
  • Northern Kentucky leads the League in opponent field goal percentage during #HLMBB play. The Norse allow opponents to shoot 42.3 percent from the floor and held Green Bay to 35.2 percent in Wednesday’s victory.
  • Jayden Stone helped the Titans win their first game of the season as he tallied 26.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists with three steals against IUPUI and Purdue Fort Wayne. He scored 25 points with six boards and three helpers in the victory over the Jaguars and then recorded 27 points with six boards versus the Mastodons.
  • Quinton Morton-Robertson averaged 19.0 points per game for the Mastodons this week, scoring 24 in the win over Detroit Mercy on Saturday.
  • Green Bay leads the League in scoring defense in #HLMBB play, allowing opponents to score 67.6 points per League game. The Phoenix also pace the League in opponent three-point field goal percentage (28.3) in those contests.
  • Josh Corbin averaged 17.5 points and shot 50 percent from three-point range with a 2.25 assist/turnover ratio for RMU this week.
  • DJ Jackson posted 17.0 points per game for the week while shooting 12-of-19 (63.2 percent) from the floor and 3-of-5 from three-point range to lead IUPUI.
