INDIANAPOLIS (February 19, 2024) – Northern Kentucky’s Khamari Mitchell-Steen and Carter McCray earned this week’s Under Armour #HLWBB weekly awards.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK | KHAMARI MITCHELL-STEEN | NORTHERN KENTUCKY | JUNIOR | GUARD | OAK RIDGE, TENNESSEE
- Had a huge week for the Norse in NKU’s perfect 2-0 week.
- Started the slate with 25 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks in a win over IUPUI and followed it up with a career-best 30 points, seven boards, five swipes and four helpers in a victory over Wright State.
- Over the two games, totaled 55 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals.
- Averaged 27.5 points, 7.5 boards, 4.5 helpers and 4.0 swipes per contest.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK | CARTER MCCRAY | NORTHERN KENTUCKY | FRESHMAN | CENTER | OBERLIN, OHIO
- Continued to be an absolute force in NKU’s perfect 2-0 week as she went for back-to-back double-doubles.
- Started the slate by tying her season and career-best with 25 points, 11 rebounds and two assists in a win over IUPUI and followed it up with 20 points, 10 boards, four helpers and a block in a victory over Wright State.
- Over the two games, totaled 45 points, 21 rebounds and six assists.
- Averaged 22.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
