On Wednesday, the Norse dropped 100 points on the Jags, with #HLWBB Player of the Week Khamari Mitchell-Steen and #HLWBB Freshman of the Week Carter McCray combining for 50 points. They followed up that performance with a 77-63 win against Wright State on Saturday, led once again by Mitchell-Steen (30 points, seven rebounds) and McCray (20 points, 10 rebounds). Youngstown Defense Locks Up Road Win at Wright State The Penguins made it a tough shooting effort for the Raiders on the way to a 72-52 win on Wednesday. Wright State had their second-worst shooting day from the field (29%) and their worst three-point shooting day (13%) of the season. Youngstown State also dominated on the boards, winning the rebound battle 45-30 and having four players with 6+ rebounds in the game. Vikings Claims Two More Home Wins Cleveland State kept to their winning ways this week, earning back-to-back victories versus Oakland and Milwaukee. 27 points from Mickayla Perdue led the Vikings to a 78-63 win over the Golden Grizzlies on Thursday. On Saturday, a balanced scoring attack from Colbi Maples (15 points), Sara Guerreiro (12 points), Jordana Reisma (12 points), and Faith Burch (10 points) pushed Cleveland State past a second-half surge from Milwaukee to an eventual 64-51 win. Mastodons Shoot Lights Out in Consecutive Wins Purdue Fort Wayne caught fire from three once again, resulting in two straight wins against Milwaukee and Detroit Mercy. In those games, the Mastodons shot 24-54 (44%) from three-point range. Shayla Sellers came up big in both outings, going 11-15 on 3-pointers in the wins. Green Bay Goes 2-0 on Road Trip The Phoenix picked up back-to-back road wins against RMU and Youngstown State this past week, thanks to their clutch play in the fourth quarter. Against the Colonials on Thursday, Green Bay scored 22 points in the fourth to close out a 60-50 win. In their 71-59 win over the Penguins, they scored 21 points in the final 10 minutes. Jaguars Pour In 11 Threes in Sunday Victory IUPUI earned a home win on Sunday against RMU thanks to a hot day from three-point range. The Jags shot a season-best 11-22 from beyond the arc while holding the Colonials to 2-10 from three.
