2024 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship Bracket Revealed with Oakland Capturing No. 1 Seed

INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2024) – The bracket for the 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship was released on Saturday following the completion of the regular season with Oakland securing the regular season title and No. 1 seed.

  • Oakland finished with a 15-5 League record and is 20-11 overall this season after closing out the regular season with a 75-70 home victory over Detroit Mercy on Saturday.
    • The Golden Grizzlies will host their quarterfinal against the lowest-remaining seed at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 7.
  • Youngstown State enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed and will also host a quarterfinal at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 7.
    • The Penguins finished the regular season with a League record of 14-6 and a 22-9 overall record.
  • Green Bay (13-7 HL) earned the No. 3 seed and will host a quarterfinal contest at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on Thursday.
  • Wright State (13-7 HL) will be the No. 4 seed after a 94-88 victory over Northern Kentucky on Saturday.
    • The Raiders will take on the No. 5 seed Norse (12-8 HL) on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET at the Nutter Center.
  • In the opening round of the 2024 Barbasol #HLMBB Championship, No. 6 seed Milwaukee will host No. 11 seed Detroit Mercy, No. 10 seed IUPUI will travel to No. 7 seed Cleveland State and No. 8 seed Purdue Fort Wayne will welcome No. 9 seed RMU.
    • First round contests in Cleveland and Fort Wayne are set to tip at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 5 while the Panthers will take on the Titans at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
  • Every game of the championship will be carried on ESPN networks with the first round and quarterfinal games streamed on ESPN+. The first semifinal game in Indianapolis will be on ESPNU starting at 7 p.m. ET on March 11 followed by semifinal No. 2 on ESPN2 at 9:30 p.m. ET. The championship game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 12.
  • The 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships will culminate with the semifinal and championship games at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum March 11-12.
